For a limited time only, from July 10-19 and August 21-30, Sprinkles will sell its Key Lime Cupcake.
Real lime flavor in the cake and frosting. A taste of the tropics without the jet lag.
On June 26, 2009, Jimmy Fallon ate a cupcake frosted by Goldie the Makerbot on late night television. In the background is Goldie's chief inventor, Bre Pettis and a "world record guy" Dan Rollman.
What's a Makerbot? It's a 3D printer made from a DIY kit that prints out a three dimension design in maleable plastic. Of course, that's my ten cent version. You can read about it first hand on the Makerbot website. Using the same theory, one geek was inspired to turn Goldie into a frosting distributor for cupcakes. For some reason Geeks and cupcakes just seem to go hand-in-hand!
Georgetown Cupcakes Made
Jimmy Fallon and staff "Cupcrazy"
Photo from Jimmy Fallon website
Jimmy Fallon is no stranger to red velvet and frosting. Earlier, Georgetown Cupcakes shipped a box of their incredible cupcakes to Fallon's New York studio. The resulting cupcake orgy was captured on film. Some staffers began screaming; one had a seizure. A script girl was quoted as "having seen the face of God." The photos are worth a thousand words. We all know the feeling. Been there, ate the cupcake. CUPCAKE.ZEN
